I bought these close to their use-by date at a great price. They are an easy shape to take. The only noticeable difference from my usual brand was a slight fishy smell. My fussy son took them without complaint, so the smell can't have been too bad. No fishy burps either.

The niacin heat flush from the brown tablets is not fun, so I usually end up taking one brown and two grey tabs, instead of two brown/two grey. So I now have a cache of brown tablets building up. They seem to absorb moisture very quickly, even with a moisture absorbing sachet in the container, so they won't last long, and will be wasted. A formulation with less niacin would be welcome. I was disappointed at what seemed like over-packaging when I first opened the box--each set of four tablets (2 brown/2 grey) is separately packed in a cellophane wrapper. Having seen how hydrophilic (water-loving) they are, I can now see why separate packs are necessary.

I started taking these to help with menopausal symptoms. I have also been using progesterone cream for 18 months (this stopped the hot flashes and PMS cramps very quickly). Once I started taking the estrogen, the hot flashes reappeared. The take home message is that it's worth getting your levels checked to make sure the progesterone/estrogen are in balance. We are more likely to need the progesterone than the estrogen during perimenopause (according to John Lee MD's book). Some women need estrgoen as well. It wasn't good for me, but my reaction does show that this product increases estrogen.

I was hoping my son would go for these, since he's sick of taking the large, unflavoured DHA gelcaps. But no, he said they are really not much better. A little bit smaller, smell a bit like strawberry. But not chewable so he didn't think there was much point in them.

Bummer. I didn't notice that this one is sweetened with sucralose and quite a bit of it. I'm not keen on sweeteners, especially artificial ones (there are some negative reports about sucralose, as well as all of the other artificial sweeteners, and stevia doesn't taste great). The flavour is fine apart from the sweetness. I'll have to mix it with a an unsweetened product to get trhough this huge tin! On the plus side, it doesn't make me feel at all queasy, and some others do (usually 2 hours after having it as a meal replacement).

These are too large for my son to take. We liked the capsules in this brand, but they don't seem to be available any more. Tablets are OK for me.

I have been searching for a palatable multi-vitamin/mineral for my son. Unfortunately he dislikes the flavour of this one intensely, I suspect due to the sweetener. The Dream Health version is next to try!
