As a Vegan I knew my creatine levels would be lower than meat eaters, so I was expecting a noticeable change, but I was still surprised to discover I'd put on 3.5kg in 3 weeks! This was the best non-fish Omega-3 DHA-EPA I could find, but of course it's much more expensive than the fishy variety. One slow release capsule per day is all you need though -- and one for my vegan dog Biscuit too of course :@)

I can't believe how much they pack into these little tablets, plus you get green whole foods, vegetable powders, and special herbs too! This does contain B-12, but it's Cyanocobalamin, which is fine for maintenance, but it's not the best kind to take if your B-12 levels are low. Sublingual Methylcobalamin is the best kind of B-12 to quickly restore your B-12 levels, and luckily Deva make that too.

Ginger supplements are recommended in The Dog Cancer Survival Guide. The gingerols in ginger can help reduce inflammation, which is good because cancer thrives on inflammation.

Carbo Gain goes down easy, and I feel a noticeable increase in energy levels during my workout. Prior to taking Carbo Gain I was having a pre and post-workout shake with 33g Now Foods Pea Protein, 30g oat flour, and a cup of oat milk. Oats are heavy and digest pretty slowly though, so I would sometimes feel a bit sluggish during my early morning workout. Now with 50g (1/2 cup) of Carbo Gain in my pre/post workout shakes instead of the oats, I certainly feel more energised, before, during and after my weights session. As a hardgainer I need to focus on calorie dense foods, and this fits the bill perfectly. Taking 100g per day you'll get through a lot of Carbo Gain, so this Mega Pack is definitely the best value for money. I don't follow food combing rules, but I do know that a protein/carb mix is not ideal, so I also take a Now Foods Plant Enzyme Vcap to optimise digestion.

I don't keep any refined sugar in the house, and I minimise added sugar in the foods I buy, so this is the perfect sweetener for me. NuNaturals Vanilla Stevia tastes great, it's super sweet (7 drops is plenty for most uses), alcohol free (for teetotallers like me), and has 0 calories. I've been using it to add some sweetness to my oatmeal, and bedtime protein shake. I found the recommended 7 drops way too sweet in my soy latte though, but most soy milks contain a little bit of sugar already, so a couple of drops is probably plenty.

A good vegan probiotic is hard to find. Now foods didn't have many probiotics suitable for vegans, but I thought this was the best choice. $10.79 for 60 tabs is a good price, and you get 8 different species of beneficial bacteria plus FOS, which makes this product excellent value for money.
