Agaricus blazei is the newest medicinal mushroom. First found in Brazil, Agaricus is now cultivated the world over. Traditionally prepared as a tea, the native cultures of Brazil call it the "Food of the Gods." In addition to the beta 1-3 glucan found in most mushrooms, Agaricus also contains beta 1-6 glucan; this may explain its profound and well documented immune health benefits.
