Help Reduce Cholesterol
High cholesterol is a major risk factor for heart disease. Natural compounds found in fruits, nuts and vegetables, called plant sterols, help lower cholesterol. But it's difficult to eat enough of these foods daily to achieve a cholesterol lowering effect.
That's why we've included 0.4 grams of plant sterols per serving in Heart to Heart crackers. Foods containing at least 0.4 grams per serving of plant sterols, eaten twice a day with meals for a daily total intake of at least 0.8 grams, as a part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease.
Help Support Healthy Arteries
Your heart needs healthy arteries to deliver oxygen and vital nutrition to your body. That's why we added nutrients to help fight free radicals and keep arteries healthy. Heart to Heart crackers contain 6 natural antioxidants, including 25% Daily Value of vitamins E, C and beta carotene. Extracts from green tea (50 mg), white tea (25 mg) and grape seed (12.5 mg), rich in polyphenols, are also potent antioxidants.
