Thank you for your order. These items are not shipped with ice packs. We were told by Nature's Way that is not necessary to have it refrigerated during transit. Here is their response, "Primadophilus can be out of refrigeration for a few days without losing the potency. We add extra cultures to allow for the product to be out of refrigeration for shipping and manufacturing. But for long term storage in order to hold the potency the product should be stored in the refrigerator." We do keep the product refrigerated while it is in here and we suggest you do the same when the item is received. We also recommend that you check our page for Stabilized Probiotics

Children 2 years of age give 1/2 teaspoon (1.5 grams) daily between meals. Children 2 years of age and older give 1 teaspoon (3 grams) daily between meals. May be added to liquid or infant formula. Keep refrigerated to maintain maximum potency.
